Just days before I picked up my camera and began my photography journey here in Hawaii, I was gifted a camera by my dad. This planted a spark in me that began my photography journey here on the island of Maui.

This ability to express a creative art and work with people does embody who I am and how I strive to live my life.

I'm Desiree, the heart and soul of Desi Maui Photography. I look for joy, sweet giggles, laughter, affection and of course, the warm light of aloha to create my favorite images. I'm an open-hearted artist who easily creates a relaxed space, within which my clients feel totally comfortable being themselves. I calmly and thoughtfully approach each shoot, seeing and capturing those surprising, in between moments; the ones that really matter.
